To replace the cuff, the gearbox must be removed. After the clutch release fork has been removed from the ball stud, the guide sleeve can be unscrewed from the gearbox. This clutch, which is essentially a mainshaft bearing cap, is held in place as shown in fig. 192 bolts.
Remove the cuff and install a new one. Lubricate the mounting surface of the cuff with universal grease. To press the cuff into the cover, use a mandrel of a suitable diameter, which should be installed on the upper edge. Replace the cover and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm. Apply a little grease to the shaft splines. Then install the clutch release fork again.
