Figure 192. Primary shaft bearing cover
To replace the seal, you need to remove the gearbox. After the clutch release fork has been removed from the ball joint, you can unscrew the guide sleeve from the gearbox. This sleeve, which is essentially the primary shaft bearing cover, is held in place by the pins shown in the figure 192 bolts.
Remove the cuff and install a new one. Lubricate the cuff installation surface with universal plastic grease. To press the cuff into the cover, use a mandrel of a suitable diameter, which should be installed on the upper edge. Replace the cover and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm. Apply a small amount of grease to the shaft splines. Then reinstall the clutch release fork.
