To control the operation of the wiper motor, it is important to know what functions each of its terminals performs.
Functions of the gearmotor terminals:
1. Terminal 15 R - supply voltage when the ignition key is in position «I» from fuse number 3.
2. Terminal 31 - connection to «weight» engine.
3. Terminal 31 b - main wiring. It gives a signal from the wiper motor whether the wiper blade is stationary or moving across the glass.
4. Terminal 53 has several functions. First of all, it supplies voltage for the first speed of the wiper arm movement. Secondly, when the wiper is turned off, additional voltage is supplied through it so that the wiper returns to its original position (rest), except for the combination switch. Thirdly, from the relay, this terminal switches to «mass», when the wiper comes to rest position (except combination switch). This blocks the wiper motor.
5. Terminal 53 b of the gearmotor is energized if the second wiper speed is activated.
