1. Lift the plastic cover 2 (Fig. 3.15) at the bottom of the wiper lever 3 and unscrew the internal hexagon.

Ensuring a good overview



It is recommended to keep a pin (needle) stuck into the driver's side sun visor in case you need to clean or adjust the nozzles. They can freeze in winter. Put a few drops of de-icer or alcohol on the tip of the pin and from there into the nozzle as if you were trying to adjust it. After a while, the nozzle will be free of ice.

2. Remove the wiper arm from the wiper mechanism. Hold the arm while doing this to prevent it from hitting the glass.

Locked wiper arm



If the wiper arm does not reach its final position during heavy snowfall, the windshield wiper gear motor still operates and is energized. In this mode, the winding of the windshield wiper gear motor may burn out. Therefore, stop, turn off the ignition and clean the glass.
