Sequence of works
1. Remove the hood fasteners (each has two bolts). Mark the starting position in advance.
2. Disconnect the drive cable from the retainer. If present, also disconnect the anti-theft system connector.
3. Remove the hood release lever in the passenger compartment (two bolts) and disconnect the cable from it.
4. Disconnect the cable clamps on the wing and in the bumper area.
5. To make it easier to install the new cable, tie it to the old one with wire. Pull the old cable into the passenger compartment until the new one appears. Secure it to the lever mount.
6. Check that the cable is correctly installed in the hole seal in the engine compartment.

7. Secure the new cable to the clips in the engine compartment. Make sure the flexible cable sheath is in the correct position.
8. After installing the hood lock, adjust the hood position if necessary. The cable drive itself is not adjustable.
Bonnet release cable break
Try first to grab the end of the broken cable from the passenger compartment with pliers and pull it (if the cable breaks at this point). If the hood does not open, bend a piece of thick wire into a hook and place it between the hood and the bumper. Use it to press the spring-loaded lever of the lock to the right, in which the cable is also secured. If you press lightly on the hood, it will be easier to move the locking hook.
