Removal the oil filter housing

Removal the breather casing

Installing the engine on a special stand significantly simplifies the assembly and disassembly processes. Before installing the engine on the stand, remove the flywheel and rear crankshaft sealing ring. If there is no stand, the engine can be disassembled on the floor. Be especially careful when working in these conditions.
First of all, it is necessary to remove the following components from the engine:
- oil filter;
- generator;
- power steering pump;
- powertrain support brackets;
- thermostat and thermostat housing;
- tube for engine oil dipstick;
- wiring harness and all electrical switches; and sensors;
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- coil and spark plugs.
If it is necessary to repair only the cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods, it is necessary to remove the cylinder head, oil pan, oil pump and drive chain.
If a complete overhaul is required, the following must be removed from the engine:
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- drive chain and tensioning mechanism;
- cylinder head;
- flywheel/drive plate;
- oil pan;
- oil pump;
- pistons with connecting rods;
- crankshaft.
