All operations performed correspond to those described in the subsections Removal and installation the steering wheel, Removal and installation the coupling and the steering column deformable shaft, Removal and installation the steering column lock and Removal, disassembly and installation of the steering gear without power steering, with a few exceptions.
1. Pump out the liquid from the pump tank.
2. Unscrew the hose connections from the steering gear and install the plugs.
3. After installing the power steering gear, bleed the air from the hydraulic system (see Bleeding the hydraulic steering system).
