Replacing the clamp securing the power steering fluid cooling hose to the radiator

Replacing the clamp securing the power steering fluid cooling hose to the radiator

1. Loosening of the clamp securing the power steering cooling system hose to the radiator leads to the development of hydraulic fluid leaks.

2. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.

3. Open the hood, unfasten and remove the mounting clamp (1) from the hose (2).

(Information copied from the website MercedesMAN)

4. Open the new clamp (3) and place it on the hose (2).

5. After correctly positioning the clamp on the end of the hose pulled over the fitting, tighten it securely.

6. Check the power steering fluid level and make the appropriate adjustments if necessary (see Chapter Checking fluid levels, leak control).

7. Start the engine and check for signs of leaks developing through the hose.

8. Close the hood.
