0
1. Check the power steering fluid level periodically to avoid vehicle handling problems such as damage to the steering pump. Follow these steps:.

Warning! Do not hold the steering wheel fully turned in one direction or another for more than five seconds. This may damage the steering pump.

2. The power steering system reservoir is located in the engine compartment and has a screw-on cap with a measuring probe built into it.

3. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

The oil level can be checked cold or warm (starting from +50°C). The cold check is described here. Please note the notes at the end of the Section if the oil level is to be checked warm.

4. The car should not be warmed up, the engine should not be running. The front wheels should be straight.

5. Unscrew the tank cap using a screwdriver. To do this, insert the screwdriver rod into the slot in the cap.

6. Wipe the level indicator under the cover with a clean cloth.

7. Manually screw the plug in and out again. The liquid level in the compensation tank, depending on its temperature, should match the corresponding zone of the indicator.

8 Liquid cold (at ambient temperature): the level should be in the "A" (cool) area.

Liquid at operating temperature (approx. +50°C): the level should be in the hot area.

9. If necessary, top up the fluid level in the reservoir. Use only new fluid to top up the level, as even the slightest contamination can cause the hydraulic system to malfunction.

Caution! If the fluid level in the reservoir has dropped below the fluid temperature zone, the power steering must be checked by a specialist workshop, as there is a loss of fluid. In this case, simply topping up the fluid level is not enough.
