Adjusting the position of the rear edge of the electric sunroof
1. Remove the trim from the sunroof by loosening the sliding bracket mounting bolts and sliding the brackets inward while holding the sunroof cover in the center position in the opening. Tighten the bolts.
2. To adjust the height of the front edge of the sunroof, loosen the guide mounting screws and turn the slotted adjusting screws so that the front edge of the closed sunroof is flush with the roof surface or slightly lowered (within 1.0 mm). Tighten the guide mounting screws.
3. To adjust the height of the rear edge of the sunroof, close the sunroof, loosen the nut and turn the adjusting plate with a screwdriver so that the rear edge of the sunroof is flush with the roof surface or slightly raised (within 1.0 mm).
4. Reinstall the sunroof trim.
Mechanically operated sunroof
1. Remove the trim from the sunroof, loosen the sliding bracket mounting bolts and push the brackets inward while holding the sunroof cover in the center position in the opening. Tighten the bolts.
2. To adjust the locking rods, loosen the nuts and adjust the sunroof position so that it fits snugly against the front seal, then tighten the nuts. Open the sunroof slightly, loosen the nuts of the locking rods and adjust them so that the handle can be used to set the sunroof to any position.
3. To adjust the height of the front edge of the sunroof, loosen the guide mounting screws and turn the slotted adjusting screws so that the front edge of the closed sunroof is flush with the roof surface or slightly lowered (within 1.0 mm). Tighten the guide mounting screws.
4. To adjust the height of the rear edge of the sunroof, turn the screws on the rear brackets so that the rear edge of the sunroof is flush with the roof surface or slightly raised (within 1.0 mm).
5. Reinstall the trim. If the sunroof handle rattles while driving, place a strip of felt underneath it.
