Removal



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the air filter and mixing chamber with the EGR valve.

3. Remove the decorative panel of the cylinder head cover 1 (see figure 5.64).

4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the B66 fuel distributor pressure sensor.

5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the Y74 distributor pressure control valve.

6. Disconnect fuel lines 3.

7. Disconnect bracket 4 securing the fuel injection line 5 to the thermostat.

8. Unscrew the fuel supply line 5 from the distributor 2.

9. Disconnect the fuel drain line from the high pressure fuel pump to the distributor 2.

10. Unscrew the fuel drain line 7 from the distributor 2.

11. Disconnect the oil drain line 9 from the distributor 2.

12. Disconnect the fuel lines from the intake manifold 10.

13. Remove distributor 2. Fuel pressure control valve Y74 must be removed from the distributor and replaced only together with distributor 2.



Installation



14. If the distributor is replaced: The distributor is supplied with the distributor pressure sensor B66 and the pressure control valve Y74.

15. Do not tighten the distributor fastener completely until the injectors and fuel lines 3 and 5 are connected.

16. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
