Radiator — removal and installation (Mercedes-Benz Vito W638)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Drain the coolant and empty the air conditioning system.

3. Remove the front cross member, radiator grille, headlights.

4. Disconnect cooling system pipes 4, 5, 7 and 15 from radiator 6 (see figure 5.35).

5. Disconnect compressed air supply pipes 10 and 11 from intercooler 9.

6. Disconnect the M43.1 wiring connector from the intercooler fan.

7. Unscrew the air conditioner pipes 13 from the radiator 6.

8. Disconnect the air conditioner pipes 13 from the condenser.

9. Unscrew the pipes 12 of the automatic transmission to the radiator 6 and disconnect them.

10. Disconnect the M34.1 and M34.2 fan wiring connector from the radiator 6.

11. Remove pin 14 securing the compressed air supply pipe to the radiator.

12. Remove the radiator 6 upwards together with the condenser and intercooler 9.

13. Disconnect the intercooler 9 from the radiator 6 (see figure 5.36).
