1. Drain the fluid from the cooling system, but if it is not supposed to be completely replaced, do not drain it from the cylinder block.
2. Remove the two brackets and fan shroud from the rear of the radiator.
3. On some models equipped with an air conditioning unit, remove the air cooler bolts from the side of the radiator and secure it on one side. On other models, it may be necessary to completely remove the air cooler. In all cases, the air conditioning system must be handled by a qualified mechanic.
4. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses from the radiator.
5. Remove the upper mounting brackets and remove the radiator by lifting it up so as not to damage its tubes and not spill liquid on the car body parts.
6. Clean the radiator tubes with a soft brush or hose water. Flush the radiator with counter current. Inspect hoses and clamps and replace if damaged or worn. Also check the bottom rubber pads. Inspect the fill plug to make sure the vacuum valve is properly seated on the rubber seal.
7. Install the system parts in the reverse order of their removal and fill the cooling system.
