1. Replace the radiator and thermostat and connect all hoses.
2. Install and tighten the drain plugs of the radiator and cylinder block.
3. With the heater in the hot air position, fill the radiator or expansion tank with coolant. There are two level marks in the filler neck of the radiator: a lower one for a cold and an upper one for a hot engine.
4. Replace the fill plug and let the engine idle for a few minutes, then stop it and check the coolant level. Add coolant, if necessary, and replace the cap.
5. Bring the engine up to normal operating temperature and recheck the level, remembering to depressurize the system before removing the cap.
