Note: Tightening torques for threaded connections, kgf·m:
- - radiator drain plug: 0.15-0.20;
- - water pump: 0.9;
- - fan with electromagnetic clutch: 2.0-2.4.
The fan drive is controlled by a magnetic clutch or a temperature sensor. The magnetic drive consists of two magnetic plates that reliably transmit torque at engine speeds of up to 1700 rpm. The temperature sensor-controlled fan operates on a hydraulic principle, transmitting torque through an oil film controlled by a bimetallic plate.
