Removal
1. Disconnect the wiring connector from the intake air temperature sensor 3 (figure 2.2).

2. Disconnect the inlet pipe 1 from the air filter housing 6.
3. Disconnect the inlet pipe 2 from the compressor (only on engines 602.985,904.904/908/914/923/936).
4. Disconnect the bypass pipe 8 from the filter (clamp A) (only on engines 602.984/985).
5. Remove the fixing bolt 4 from the filter housing. Remove retainer 5.
6. Remove filter housing 6 together with expansion tank 7 from the radiator. Lift the filter and pull it out to the left.
7. Remove pin 9 securing expansion tank 7 and secure it to the side together with the attached tubes. Remove retainer 10.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
