Removal and installation the engine (Mercedes-Benz Vario 814)

Removal



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the engine cover 1 (figure 2.1). Remove protective cover 2 of the gearbox and protective cover 3 of the engine.

3. Remove the front bumper 4. Unscrew it from the bracket and remove the pin 5.

4. Remove the radiator grille 6.

5. Remove the front decorative panel 7.

6. Drain the coolant.

7. Remove radiator 8 together with the front beam.

8. Remove the compressed air supply pipe 9 and the inlet pipe 10.

9. Remove all attached components from the intake manifold.

10. Remove the oil filler pipe.

11. Loosen the alternator drive belt and remove it from the power steering pump (on engines 602.934).

12. Unscrew the power steering pump mounting bolts 11 (on engines 602.984).

13. Disconnect the drain pipe 17 of the steering control from the pan (on engines 602.985).

14. Disconnect the pressure pipe from the power steering pump.

15. Disconnect the heating system pipes from both sides of the engine.

16. Disconnect vacuum tube A from the vacuum pump.

17. Disconnect the fuel lines from the engine.

18. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors from the engine.

19. Remove vehicle speed sensor 13.

20. Disconnect the gear shift lever.

21. Disconnect the front section of the exhaust pipe.

22. Disconnect the compressed air supply tube 15 (on engines 602.985).

23. Remove the clutch slave cylinder 12.

24. Disconnect the propeller shaft 14 from the gearbox.

25. Unscrew the bolts securing the engine to the supports.



26. Remove the engine.

Installation



27. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
