Summer check
Engine
- Check the condition and tension of the drive belts, replace or adjust if necessary;
- check the cooling system for leaks, check the coolant level and antifreeze concentration, adjust if necessary;
- check fuel system connections, hoses and electrical connections;
- check the air filter, replace if necessary;
- check the oil level, top up if necessary;
- check for harmful exhaust emissions.
Transmission
- Check the fluid level, top up if necessary and check for leaks on the automatic transmission;
- check the fluid level, top up if necessary and check for leaks on the manual transmission;
- check the axle shaft covers for damage and wear.
Steering
- Check the power steering fluid level, top up if necessary;
- check steering components for damage and wear.
Brake systems
- Check the brake fluid level, top up if necessary;
- check the thickness of the brake pads;
- check and adjust the parking brake;
- check the brake system tubes and hoses for wear and damage.
Suspension, wheels and tires
- Check brake pipes and hoses for damage;
- check the tread depth and wear of all tires, including the spare tire;
- check tire pressure and adjust it;
- check for leaks in the shock absorbers.
Electrical equipment
- Check the lighting and signal;
- check the operation of the windshield wipers and windshield washers, top up the fluid in the reservoir;
- check and clean the battery terminals;
- check and adjust the headlights.
Interior
- Check the operation of the seat belts.
