1. Remove the gearbox housing (50). Drain the gearbox oil.
2. Fix the reducer in a vise.
3. Detach the back cover (54).
4. Remove retaining ring (30) from both flanges of the drive shafts (33).
5. Remove drive shaft flanges (33).
6. Press out the left and right radial oil seals (32a).
7. Remove retaining rings (29).
8. Insert pin (046) for the differential gears on the right side and press the differential so that it touches the gearbox housing on the left side. Remove both outer rings (11a) roller bearings from the gearbox housing.
9. Remove differential housing (13) from the gearbox.
10. Remove both inner rings (11b) tapered roller bearings from the differential housing.
11. Loosen and unscrew the bolts (13a) fastening of the driven gear of the main gear.
12. Remove the final drive gear (47a) from differential (13).
13. Loosen and unscrew the nut (40) flange mounting (41).
14. Remove the flange (41).
15. Remove the final drive gear (47) from the gearbox.
16. Press out the oil seal (42) from the gearbox.
17. Remove the bearing inner race (43d).
18. Remove the bearing outer races (46b), (43e) from the gearbox.
19. Remove gasket (45).
20. Remove bushing (44) with gasket (48) from the drive gear.
Examination
1. Check all parts for wear and replace if necessary.
2. Check the drive gear (47) and driven gear (47a) to match the numbering.
Assembly and adjustment
1. Press in the bearing inner race (46a) on the drive gear (47).
2. Calculate the gasket thickness (45) and install it in the gearbox housing.
3. Install the bearing outer races (46b), (43e) into the gearbox housing.
4. Install bushing (44) with gaskets (48) on both sides of the drive gear.
5. Install the pinion (47) into the reducer (50).
6. Install the bearing inner race (43d) on the drive gear and press them together with the radial oil seal (42).
7. Install the flange (41) to the drive gear.
8. Tighten the nut (40).
9. Adjust the friction torque in the pinion bearing.
10. Check the backlash of the drive gear.
11. Install the driven gear (47a) to the differential (13). To do this, it is necessary to heat the driven gear to a temperature of 75-85°C.
12. Press in the bearing inner race (11b) to the differential.
13. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
14. Check and adjust the flange backlash.
15. Fix the back cover (54).
16. Remove the gearbox from the vise.
Installation
1. Install the reducer (50).
2. Fill with oil (about 1.2 l)
3. Replace the breather (55) on the back cover (54).
Technical data
1. Friction torque in pinion bearing (new tapered roller bearings): 215-245 Nm.
2. Permissible deviation from the adjustment parameter at the end of the pinion: -0.02/+0.01 mm.
3. The gap between the drive and driven gears of the final drive is 0.08-0.014 mm.
4. Axial play of the differential flange relative to the housing of the latter 0.03-0.3 mm.
