Note: Differential diameter is 210 mm.
Replacing the differential cylinder with automatic locking (differential diameter 210 mm)
30 - Retaining ring; 33b - Flange; 33c - Ball bearing; 50 - Reducer; 54 - Back cover; 56, 56b - Bolts; 70b - Piston; 70d - Rubber case; 70h, 70j - Sealing rings
1. Remove the gearbox (50).
2. Drain the oil from the gearbox.
3. Remove the back cover (54).
4. Disconnect the retaining ring (30).
5. Remove the flange (33b).
6. Remove the ball bearing (33c).
7. Using a screwdriver, press out the rubber boot (70d) from the bearing cover.

8. Insert the puller (07l) into the piston (70b) and remove the sealing ring (70j), remove the rubber boot (70d) from the piston (70b), remove the piston (70b) from the bearing side cover, loosen the breather tube (arrow).

9. Remove the sealing rings (70h) and (70i) and do not install them twice. Lubricate the piston (70b) thoroughly with hydraulic fluid (specification 343.0) and press it in. Lubricate the breather connection after pressing the piston in. When pressing the piston into the bearing side cover, make sure that the grooves are aligned with the roller pin (70c) or the hole (arrow).

10. Replace the sealing ring (70j) - to do this, lubricate the sealing lip with universal hypoid transmission fluid and press it in using a punch (073).

11. Using a small diameter press (072b), press the rubber boot (70d) onto the piston.

12. Using a larger diameter press (072a), press the rubber boot (70d) onto the bearing side cover.

13. Then all procedures are carried out in reverse order.
14. Bleed the differential lock hydraulic system.
