The steering system clamp bolts should be tightened to the specified torques every 20,000 km.
Jack up the car and support it.
The tightening torque of the bolts securing the steering gear to the side element of the chassis is 70-80 Nm.
The tightening torque of the steering coupling hex nuts is 25 Nm.
Self-locking nut of the pendulum arm - 120 Nm.
Self-locking nut on the steering shaft - 140-180 Nm (for steering shaft diameter 30 mm); 160-200 Nm (for steering shaft diameter 32 mm and power steering).
Self-locking nut of the steering shock absorber on the steering rod - 45 Nm.
Castellated or self-locking nuts on steering and tie rods - 35 Nm.
Hexagon head bolt on the tie rod clamp - 20 Nm.
Check the tightness of the lock nut on the conical ring of the transverse steering rod. The tightening torque of the lock nut is 50 Nm.
Lower the car.
Lock-nut (or countersunk head screw) steering wheel mounts - 80 Nm.
Locknut for fastening the steering column to the crosspiece - 25 Nm; lock nut for fastening the steering column to the lower bracket - 10 Nm.
