Jack up and support the front of the car.
Using a lamp, check the anthers for damage and the presence of traces of grease on the casings and near them.
A damaged boot requires replacement of the corresponding joint, which will inevitably be damaged by the dust that has penetrated into it.
Check the tightness of the hinge lock nuts without trying to turn them. Loose nuts must be replaced.
