Remove spark plugs.
Remove right camshaft valve levers (see related section). For subsequent installation, the levers must be marked.
Remove chain tensioner (section 2.11.1).
Close the drive chain opening with a rag.
Cut off the heads of the axles of one link of the chain with a cleaning machine without separating the chain.
Attach the lock link of the new chain to the old chain, while removing the link with the sheared axle heads.
Install a size 27 socket wrench with a ratchet over the head of the crankshaft pulley center bolt. Slowly rotate the crankshaft in the direction of travel until the locking link appears on the camshaft sprocket.
Disconnect the old chain, connect the new chain with a locking link, placing it on the inside, as shown in fig. 45, install the second plate and lock. The cut on the lock should be directed in the direction opposite to the direction of movement.

Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the first cylinder is at TDC and check the position of the marks on the camshafts and bearing housings, as shown in Fig. 46. If the marks do not match, check the valve timing and, if necessary, shift the chain.
Pic. 46. With the correct installation of the gas distribution phases, the marks coincide with the position of the piston of the first cylinder at TDC.
Install chain tensioner (section 2.11.1).
Perform the rest of the work in reverse order.
