Fig. 1.1. The new models have an unusual appearance for Mercedes - four round headlights
On the front of the car (Fig. 1.1) instead of the typical Mercedes rectangular headlights, oval slanted double headlights are installed, which are distinguished by their excellent design. They make the appearance more attractive, creating an original "face".
In profile, the car body has a silhouette that is more typical of a coupe than of a luxury sedan. This silhouette goes well with the dynamic shape of the front end, and at the same time, the body has a design that is typical of Mercedes. The design of the pillars is also typical of Mercedes.
Rack A. Thanks to the smoothly rising windscreen, the A-pillar retains the characteristic coupe body dynamics of the lines, flowing into the relatively short roof and the long rear window.

Rack B. It serves as a formal link and, thanks to the black lacquered trim, creates the impression of a seamless unit between the side windows.
Rack C. Has a reinforced structure. Thanks to its expressive shape, it creates a smooth transition to the rear of the car.
Fig. 1.2. Mercedes E-class car (side view)
The relatively short roof, as well as the rear window of the new Mercedes E-class, which smoothly flows into the trunk and organically connects with the C-pillars, give the car body a coupe-like appearance (Fig. 1.2).
