Replacing the air filter element (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

1. Intake manifold air duct; 2. Remote device for filling oil; 3. Air filter housing; 4. Front air filter housing mounts; 5. Electrical connector; 6. Upper part of the air filter housing; 7. Filter element; 8. Fixators


1. Remove the air filter housing.

1.1. Remove the intake air duct (1) of the intake manifold, having first loosened the clamp.

1.2. Remove the remote oil filler neck (2). To do this, press the locking spring back and pull the device (2) upwards,

1.3. Remove the air filter housing (3) from the fasteners (4) located on the front panel by pulling it upwards.

1.4. Remove the air filter housing (3) from the rear mounts by pulling it forward.

1.5. Disconnect the electrical connector (5),

1.6. Remove the air filter inlet duct,

1.7. Remove the air filter housing (3).

1.8. Perform installation in reverse order.

2. Disconnect the upper part of the air filter housing (6) by releasing the fasteners (8).

3. Remove the filter element (7).

4. Install in reverse order.
