Figure 334. Right side of the indicator lamp row: 1 — coolant level; 2 - direction indicators; 3 — ABS system indicator lamp; 4 — ABD system indicator lamp; 5 — SRS system indicator lamp (airbag)
Direction indicator lamp (2, see figure 334). The arrows should flash separately when the direction indicator is turned on and together when the hazard warning lights are turned on.
ABS warning light (3, see figure 334).Lights up when the ignition is turned on. When the engine is running or when driving at a speed greater than 5 km/h, the lamp should go out after approximately 2 seconds.
Figure 335. Left side of the indicator lamp row: 1 — high beam indicator; 2 - battery charging indicator light; 3 - glow plug indicator; 4 — brake pad wear indicator lamp; 5 — parking brake and brake fluid level indicator; 6 - Oil pressure indicator light
High beam indicator (1, figure 335). When the high beam headlights are signaling or when they are turned on, the blue indicator lamp should light up.
Battery charging indicator light (2, see figure 335). Should light up when the ignition is turned on and go out when the engine is running.
Glow plug/immobilizer indicator (3, see figure 335). Burns until the glow plugs reach operating temperature.
Brake pad wear indicator (4, see figure 335). Lights up when braking if the thickness of the front brake pads is less than 3.5 mm and the pads need to be replaced.
Brake system warning light (5, see figure 335). Lights up when the parking brake is applied and the brake fluid level is insufficient.
Oil pressure warning light (6, see figure 335). Lights up when the ignition is turned on and goes out when the engine starts. If the lamp does not go out when the engine is started, you should immediately stop the engine and find out the reason.
Figure 336. The far right part of the row of control lamps: 1 — ABD system indicator lamp; 2 — SRS system indicator lamp (airbag); 3 — differential lock engagement indicator; 4 — engine management system indicator lamp (only for mod. 212D, 312D, 412D); 5 — indicator of all-wheel drive connection
ABD system indicator light (1, figure 336): ABD system or poor road surface warning is activated.
SRS warning light (2, see figure 336). Lights up for about 10 seconds when the ignition is turned on. If it then goes out, the airbag and seat belts are OK and in working order.
Differential lock indicator (3, see figure 336). Lights up when the differential lock is engaged and goes out when it is disengaged.
Engine Management System Warning Light 4 (see figure 336). When the ignition key is turned to position "2", the EDC symbol lights up. It should go out when the engine is running. If the indicator does not light up or does not go out while driving, there is a malfunction in the electronic engine management system, so you should contact a service station as soon as possible.
Indicator 5 for connecting all-wheel drive (see figure 336). Lights up when all-wheel drive is engaged.
Front/rear fog light indicator. The lamp is located in the switch and should light when the switch is pressed to position "1". If the ignition is switched off while the fog lights are on, a warning signal will sound. If only rear fog lights are installed, the lamp comes on when the switch is turned on.
Hazard warning indicator. The red switch on the top of the steering column should flash in sync with the turn signals. It is important to remember that when the rear doors are open or the tailgate of the cargo platform is folded down, the rear lights are not visible.
Fluid level indicator in the washer reservoir. Add water if the light is on.
