Windshield washer (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 903)

When the washer fluid level indicator light comes on, add water. To better clean the windshield, special chemicals should be added to the water. In this case, less dirt will settle on the glass surface. Mercedes-Benz offers a special car shampoo for cleaning glass. It should be added that there are products for winter and summer use. They should not be mixed with other products.

When adding fluid to the washer reservoir, wipe the windshield as described below. It is recommended to do this at least once every two weeks.

In order for the product to dissolve better in water, you should first pour it into the tank, and then water. The location of the washer reservoir is shown in the figure 337. In cold weather, antifreeze should be used.

Note: If the glass surface cleaned with brushes remains covered with a greasy film despite the addition of shampoo, the glass must be thoroughly cleaned. To do this, apply the product to the glass and wipe it with newspaper, applying light pressure. Then the film will be removed. Faux leather cloth or napkins are too soft for this. Experience shows that the best effect is achieved by using conventional glass cleaning products.
