Removing
Drain the oil from the gearbox.
Remove the shift lever for reverse gear after loosening the bolt on the double plane of the shift shaft.
Loosen the screws securing the switch cover.
Carefully knock out the shifter cover from the guide pins and at the same time hammer the reverse gear shift shaft inward with a second hammer until the distance between the shifter cover and the interface of the gearbox housing is such that it can be grasped by hand.
Slide the selector forks in the direction of the arrows out of the selector levers.
Bend the cover down, then lift up and remove.

Installation
Lubricate the new paper gasket onto the carefully cleaned interface of the gearbox housing.
Put the reverse gear lever leash exactly in the middle position. The switch cover can only be installed correctly when the switch shaft and with it the switch pin (3) for reverse gear is pre-pulled far enough into the inside of the shifter cover (see distance "V").
Fit the selector cover so that the selector pin for reverse gear fits into the groove on the driver.
Press out the cover so that at the same time the selector forks enter the selector levers.
Place the cover of the shifter with light blows of a hammer on the interface of the gearbox housing until it stops. When doing this, make sure that the cover fits correctly on both guide pins. In this case, both the shifter cover must approach the interface plane of the gearbox housing to the same extent, and the shift shaft for the reverse gear must again protrude from the cover. Bolt the changeover cover evenly and crosswise.
Insert the reverse gear lever onto the double plane of the shift shaft and tighten with a bolt.
By engaging all gears, check the operation of the switch cover.
Pour oil into the box until it pours out of the filler hole on the gearbox.
