If the installation work is limited exclusively to work with the reverse gear, then removing the gearbox is not required.
Removal
Unscrew the gearbox cover from the rear, as already described.
Pull the reverse gear (a) off the secondary shaft.
Pull the reverse shaft for the movable reverse gear pinion (a) out of the gearbox housing. In this case, the movable reverse gear pinion (a), the synchronizer ring with the locking rod (c), the flat lock washer and the pressure spring (d) must be retained.
Remove the reverse movable gear with synchronizer parts.
Remove the locking pin from the nut on the intermediate shaft. Press the reverse intermediate gear out of the intermediate shaft with a screwdriver.
Installation
Place the reverse intermediate gear onto the intermediate shaft and secure with the retaining ring.
Insert the reverse movable gear into the reverse gear engagement shaft shift tab and install it together with the synchronizer ring, flat lock washer and pressure spring so that the sharpened teeth point towards the gearbox housing.
Insert the reverse shaft into the movable reverse gear, making sure that the flat recess on the shaft journal points upward.
Install the reverse gear on the secondary shaft so that the points of the tooth profile point to the rear.
Put on the impulse washer and washer.
Secure the gearbox covers with bolts.
