Remove flange. If necessary, use puller 116 589 193 300.
Loosen the back cover screws (see fig. 178).

Remove back cover.
Using a mandrel with a diameter of 52 mm, press out the oil seal.
Press a new seal into the cover.
To facilitate installation, glue a new gasket onto the split surface with grease.
Install the reverse gear shaft with the flat upwards.
Put the back cover on the driven shaft.
Push the cover onto the mounting sleeves.
Screw in the mounting bolts and tighten evenly in a diagonal pattern.
Lubricate the seal lips and the flange face and fit the flange onto the gearbox output shaft.
Screw in a new self-locking nut by hand and then tighten with a socket wrench.
