Adjusting the gearshift drive located on the body floor tunnel

After removing the safety devices, hang the rods on the gearshift levers.

Fix the position of the three levers at the bottom of the rocker mechanism by installing the fixing bolts.

Set the gearshift mechanism on the gearbox to neutral position.

Check the position of the levers on the gearshift mechanism cover and, if necessary, adjust the dimensions shown in Fig. 174.

Adjust the length of the rods so that they fit onto the bolts of the rocker mechanism levers without tension, without displacing the levers on the gearshift mechanism cover.

Fasten the fixing bolts to the rods and check the operation of the rocker mechanism.

Adjusting the gear shift drive located on the steering column

The adjustment is similar to the above, the levers are located at the lower end of the gearshift shaft on the steering column. If the reverse lights come on when the first and second gears are engaged, the reverse light switch sealing ring must be replaced.
