Attention! Do not open the air conditioning coolant circuit, as the coolant contains substances that, if in contact with the skin, can cause frostbite. When removing the engine, the coolant circuit must also not be opened.
1. Remove the V-ribbed belt.
2. Unscrew Refrigeration Compressor (arrows) and hang it together with the connected wires on the side of the body.
3. Vehicles with height adjustment: unscrew the oil hoses of the pressure oil pump (arrows). If a dual pump is installed, disconnect the oil lines from the pump.
4. Suck out the hydraulic oil from the power steering reservoir with a special syringe. Unscrew and roll up the hoses. Collect the spilled liquid with a rag.
5. Automatic transmission: tighten the oil cooler oil lines with hose clamps.
6. Unscrew the oil lines (arrows) air oil cooler.
7. Manual transmission: after depressing the locking clips, remove the fork rods from the gear levers.*
8. Unscrew clutch sensor hydraulic hoses (arrows).*
9. Automatic transmission: disconnect the shift lever from the gearbox and remove the wire connection element for the start and reverse light switches (S 16/1). Disconnect the Kickdown wire connector - solenoid valve on the right side of the transmission.*
10. If present, unscrew the tachometric inductive pickup (arrow) and remove the two lower starter bolts. Set the connecting wire aside. If the engine is removed without the gearbox, remove the starter.*
11. Unscrew the speed sensor (L3).*
12. Unscrew the wire "masses" between starter and body.
13. If the engine separates from the gearbox, remove the starter.
14. Unscrew the gas outlet side support from the gearbox.*
15. Unscrew the convector in the middle tunnel.*
16. Unscrew the cardan shaft from the gearbox and press it away from the gearbox.*
17. Loosen the propeller shaft intermediate bearing bolts, unscrew the nuts and slide the propeller shaft as far back as possible.*
18. Place a jack with a wooden spacer under the gearbox and move it slightly (raise) box.
19. If the engine separates from the gearbox, unscrew the bolts connecting them from below.
20. Hook the cable to the engine. To do this, thread the appropriate cable or chain through the engine lugs (arrows). Slightly move the engine with a crane.
21. Dismantle the engine rear bracket with support, unscrew the nut (47) and bolts (48).*
22. Loosen the hexagon socket screws from below (arrow) front engine mount from the transverse support of the vehicle frame.
23. Remove the upper bolts connecting the engine and gearbox.
24. Separate the engine from the gearbox using a pry bar and remove it (raise).
25. Raise the engine with the gearbox in an oblique position, adapting the slope to the height of the lift. The maximum inclination is about 45°.
Attention! Lift the engine carefully so as not to damage the vehicle body. At the same time, pay special attention to the rear eye of the engine and the oil filter. Also, check if everything is disconnected from the engine.
26. If the engine and gearbox are dismantled together, then disconnect the gearbox flange.
