Lower Engine Compartment Cover — Removal and Installation (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202)

Removal



1. Raise the car.

2. Remove the front cover (1), unscrew the four bolts (arrows).

3. Remove the rear cover (2) by unscrewing the eight mounting bolts. If necessary, remove the side trim on the left and right by unscrewing the two bolts securing the side trim to the side member and one bolt securing the lower support of the wishbone of the independent suspension.

Installation



1. After dismantling, install the side trim and secure with bolts.

2. Install the rear trim and secure with bolts.

2. Install the rear trim and secure with bolts.


3. Install the front trim so that the groove at the front fits into the partition of the side part of the trim (3).

4. Press the front cover (1) upwards, with the edge of the side cover (3) on top of the cover (1).

5. Tighten the front trim mounting bolts.

6. Lower the car to the ground.
