Removal the rotating contact joint (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

1. Remove the steering wheel.

2. Remove the steering column outer trim (1) (drawing VN 6.008).

3. Loosen the mounting screws.

4. Remove the steering column inner trim (2).

5. Remove the panel under the left side of the instrument panel.

6. Disconnect all wiring harness connectors (4).

7. Disconnect connectors (7) and (8) of the harness (5) of the contact spring (3).

8. Remove the adhesive tape and wire harness retainers (5) from the electronic unit housing.

9. Loosen the fastening screws (6) to release the contact spring (3).

10. Carefully remove the contact spring (3) from the steering column.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
