2.1. Rear axle hub 742.5 with code B02
Removal
1. Remove the wheels.
2. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.
3. Remove the brake pads.
4. Remove the brake caliper 17 and secure it to the frame (figure 5.19).
5. Remove axle shaft 2.
6. Unscrew nut 3.
7. Remove gasket 4 and unscrew inner nut 5.
8. Remove the thrust lining 6 and the outer tapered roller bearing 7.
9. Remove hub 9 with brake disc 11.
10. Unscrew bolts 8 and disconnect hub 9 from brake disc 11.
11. Remove oil seal 10.
12. Check thrust ring 12 for damage and wear.

Installation
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace pin 16 and gasket 4.
2.2. Rear axle hub 742.4
Removal
1. Remove the wheels.
2. Remove axle shaft 11 (figure 5.20).
3. Unscrew the outer nut 10.
4. Remove the locking plate 9 and unscrew the inner nut 8.
5. Remove thrust plate 7 and outer tapered roller bearing 6.
6. Remove hub 5.
7. Check thrust ring 2 for damage and wear.
8. Remove oil seal 3.
9. Remove the inner tapered roller bearing 4.

Installation
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When installing, heat the new thrust ring to 80°C and press it until it stops on the rear axle beam pipe 1. Replace the locking plate 9.
