Removal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheels.
2. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor wiring connector 4 (figure 5.18).
3. Disconnect wiring connectors 5 (on vehicles with ABS (code B02).
4. Disconnect lever 2 of the proportional load distribution valve.
5. Remove plug 3 (on axles with differential lock (code A71).
6. Disconnect hydraulic line 8.
7. Disconnect the air duct 7.
8. Unscrew the brake pipes 6 from the brake hoses, remove the clamps and disconnect the brake hoses from the clamps.
9. Disconnect the ventilation tube 9 from the frame.
10. Remove both shock absorbers 15.
11. Disconnect the propeller shaft 18.
12. Remove ladders 10 and slabs 11.
13. Carefully lower the rear axle down.
Installation
14. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace nuts 1 and 14.
