Figure 1. Location of the vehicle model identification plate
You already know the location of the manufacturer's plate with the designation of the car model, data on the permissible standard gross weight, permissible loads on the front and rear axles. Depending on the design of the vehicle, the plate with this information may be located either in the engine compartment or on the lower part of the driver's seat. Figure 1 (top) shows the location of the plate in the engine compartment. The engine number is stamped on the cylinder block on the left side near the high-pressure fuel lines, in the location indicated on the bottom of the figure 1.
When ordering spare parts, please provide the full VIN code and engine number. The gearbox, rear axle and steering have their own serial numbers, which are stamped on their housings.

Caution: After opening the engine hood, be careful as some parts in the engine compartment may be hot. If the engine is running or the ignition key is in position "2", you should also be careful of rotating engine parts.
