The letter on the sidewall of the tire following the size specifications indicates the speed limit for the tire. If the letter "Q" is indicated, the maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h, "S" - 180 km/h, "T" - 190 km/h, "H" - 210 km/h.
Tyres for winter use are designated by the letters "M+S".
The manufacturing date can be determined by the three-digit DOT number. Since 1990, this number has been followed by a small triangle. For example: number 187 indicates that the tire was manufactured in the 18th week of 1997. If there is no triangle, the tires in front of you were manufactured before 1990.
In this case, when we are talking about a minibus, it is also necessary to take into account the axle load value. This applies to both single and dual tires.
