To check, you need to perform the following operations:
Remove the air filter.
Remove the fuel pump relay connector and use a piece of wire to short-circuit terminals 7 and 8 to create pressure in the fuel system with the pump.

Press the flow meter flap (4) down. You will feel a constant resistance, without any jerks.
Quickly lift the flow meter flap upwards. The flap moves freely because the distribution piston (2) rises upwards from the adjustment lever (1) with deceleration.

If the adjustment lever or distribution piston moves with difficulty or jerks, the fuel distributor should be replaced.
The surface of the flow meter flap must be aligned with the upper surface of the bevel start on the intake manifold. It is permissible for the surface of the flow meter flap to be higher by no more than 0.5 mm.

When the flow meter flap is correctly adjusted, there should be a gap of 1-2 mm between the adjusting lever (1) and the distribution piston (2). The gap is checked by lightly pressing on the flow meter flap until slight resistance is felt.
To adjust the position of the flow meter flap, perform the following operations:
If the position is too high, tap the guide pin downwards with a punch (see arrow).

Caution: Do not drive the pin too deep.
With the throttle position low, remove the fuel mixture regulator and lightly knock out the guide pin from below.
Caution: Try to adjust the pin as little as possible.
Install the air filter and adjust the engine idle speed.
