Adjusting the throttle linkage (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126)

Check the wear, bending and ease of movement of the rods. Lubricate all rubbing parts with oil.

Disconnect the connecting rod (arrow) on the return lever.



Move the throttle arm to the idle position and check that the connecting rod can be connected freely. The roller (15) of the throttle lever (13) must match the end groove. Otherwise, adjust the length of the connecting rod.

When installing a new connecting rod, its length must be adjusted to a size of 96 cm between the centers of the connecting sockets.
