Raise the car and remove the wheels.
With the help of a beard, remove the upper pin of the brake pads, remove the spring cross-shaped bracket and remove the lower pin. On fig. 253 shows the rear wheel brake caliper.

Remove brake pads.
When reusing brake pads, they must be marked and then removed before removal. When replacing brake pads, simply remove the old pads. If the brake pad cannot be removed from the cavity in the caliper, secure a wire loop in the hole and jerk the pad out.
Thoroughly clean the cavities in the brake pad caliper and check the condition of the dust protection rings and cylinders.
With severe wear of the brake pads, it is necessary to push the pistons in the brake cylinders. Pay attention to the level of brake fluid in the reservoir and, if necessary, suck out some of the fluid.
When installing the brake pads, do the following:
On the surface of the base of the brake shoe, shown by arrows in fig. 245, apply a layer of Molycote paste "u" and insert new pads into the caliper.
Install the spring cruciform caliper and insert the brake pad mounting pin into the caliper. Press the free end of the bracket and insert the second finger.
Check the movement of the brake pads in the cavity of the caliper.
Press the brake pedal several times to ensure that the brake pads are in the correct position.
Put and fix the front wheels, lower the car on the wheels.
Removal and installation of a brake caliper
Removal and installation of a support does not cause difficulties. After disconnecting the brake hose, unscrew the two caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper. When installing, use a new side plate, tighten the fixing bolts and tighten to 50 Nm. If the brake hose has been disconnected, tighten it to 15 Nm. After installation, bleed the air from the brake hydraulic system.
