Lateral clearance in gear engagement - 0.08 - 0.14 mm

The torque of the main gear pinion when adjusting the tapered roller bearings:
  • new roller bearings - 12-14 kgf
  • after running-in - 5-10 kgf

Adjusting washers for adjusting the lateral clearance in the gear engagement:
  • thickness - 0.6 -1.5 mm
  • breakdown by size - from 0.1 to 1.0 mm

Adjustment of tapered roller bearings of differential — 0.15...0.2 mm 350 SE/450 SE

Tapered roller bearings receive the necessary preload when the main gear housing is expanded - 0.10...0.15 mm 280/280 SE

The torque on the main gear pinion when turning all rear suspension units is 15-20 kgf·m

Rear wheel hub



Permissible end runout - 0.12 mm

Permissible radial runout on the wheel rim seat flange is 12 mm

Hub flange thickness - 9.5 -10.0 mm

The thickness of the metal layer removed during repair is 0.3 mm

Spacer ring between the inner shaft of the axle shaft and the differential housing

There should be no noticeable gap between the inner shaft of the axle joint and the differential housing, but the installation ring should rotate in the groove of the shaft.

The thickness of the spacer ring is from 2.9 to 3.4 mm

Oil drain grooves:
  • Left shaft - right direction
  • Right shaft - left direction
