Removing
Loosen the axle shaft bolt and use the tool shown in fig. 222 Press the axle shaft out of the rear wheel hub. If the rear suspension is installed on the vehicle, for the convenience of further work, secure the axle shaft with a wire loop.
Remove the brake caliper and brake disc, in this case you can remove the parking brake pads.
Loosen the lock nuts securing the hub.
Holding the hub in an accessible way from turning with a wrench 115 589 02 07 00, unscrew the hub fastening nut. If you don't have a wrench, you can loosen the nut with a blunt chisel and a hammer. In this case, the nut must be replaced during installation. On fig. 231 shows the unscrewing of the hub nut using a special tool.

Remove the seal ring.
Using a puller, remove the oil seal from the hub housing.
Remove hub from housing.
Remove bearing inner race and spacer.
Press the outer seal out of the hub housing.
Press outer bearing outer race out of hub housing.
Using a punch, press out the outer race of the inner bearing.
Press outer bearing inner race off rear wheel hub.
Check all the details for the possibility of further use. Pay special attention to the condition of the working surfaces under the seals on the hub and on the seal ring. Replace worn parts.
Installation
Using a piece of pipe of the appropriate diameter, press the inner race of the outer bearing onto the hub.
Press the two outer races of the bearings into the hub housing.
Apply sealant to the outer surface of the outer oil seal and press it into the hub housing.
Fill the space between the two outer bearing rings with 50 g of multi-purpose grease.
Place a new spacer on the hub and install the hub into the housing.
Put the inner race of the inner bearing on the hub.
Apply grease to the lips of the seal and apply sealant to the outer surface of the seal.
Using the tool, press in the bearing inner race and oil seal.
Install the gland ring and tighten the new fastening nut.
