Sequence of works
1. Remove the rear wheel drive shaft.

2. Remove the mud guard clamp from the inner end of the drive shaft (Fig. 6.23).
3. Knock the protective cover off the hinge and remove it. Remove the mudguard cover on the other side of the hinge in the same way.
4. Pull off the mudguard and remove the grease from the joint.
5. Remove the snap ring.
6. Clamp the drive shaft in a vice and, by evenly striking the inner ring of the joint, knock it off the shaft.
7. Now, if necessary, you can replace the mudguard and hinge. Repair kits for these parts include new clamps, a new spring retaining ring and the required amount of special grease, which is generously applied to the hinge during assembly (100g per hinge).
8. Before reinstalling the clamps on the outer ring of the hinge, apply long-term sealant to their inner edges.
