Sequence of work
1. Place the vehicle on stands at the front and remove the corresponding wheel.
2. Loosen the self-locking nut securing the ball joint pin.

3. Using a puller, press the ball joint pin out of the pivot arm (pic. 7.16), then remove the nut.

4. Mark the position of the tip on the tie rod (or count the number of revolutions when unscrewing the tip), so that when reinstalling, wrap the tip to the same distance, otherwise the installation of the wheels will be disturbed. Clean the threads of dirt using an anti-corrosion fluid. Loosen the tie rod end lock nut with SW21 wrench and hold the tie rod by the splines with SW13 wrench (pic. 7.17) unscrew it from the tie rod.
5. Clean the tip cone and tie rod hole before reinstalling.
6. Insert the tie rod ball joint pin into the pivot arm and tighten with a new self-locking nut to 60 Nm, tighten the tie rod end lock nut to the same torque.
7. Check wheel and steering alignment. If necessary, adjust at the service station.
