Removal



1. Remove the air filter element.

1. Loosen the clamps and remove the pipes from the front of the air cleaner housing (see fig. Turbocharged engine air filter).

2. Remove the nuts securing the air filter housing to the brackets.

3. On models with an engine air temperature sensor secured to the air cleaner housing, disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.

4. Remove the elbow seal from the bottom of the air cleaner housing, then remove the air cleaner housing from the engine compartment.

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the engine air temperature control actuator.

2. Unscrew the front and rear air filter housing fasteners and remove the rubber supports from them (see fig. Air filter of a diesel engine without turbocharging).

3. Remove the air cleaner housing from the intake manifold and remove the rubber seal from it.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
