Removing
1. Remove the air filter element.
Turbocharged engines
Turbo engine air filter

1. Loosen the clamps and remove the pipes from the front of the air filter housing (see fig. Turbo engine air filter).
2. Remove the nuts securing the air filter housing to the brackets.
3. On models with a temperature sensor for air entering the engine and an air filter fixed in the housing, disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
4. Remove the elbow o-ring from the bottom of the air filter housing, then remove the air filter housing from the engine compartment.
Non-turbo engines
Diesel engine air filter without turbocharging

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the engine air temperature control actuator.
2. Unscrew the front and rear fasteners of the air filter housing and remove the rubber supports from them (see fig. Diesel engine air filter without turbocharging).
3. Remove the air filter housing from the intake manifold and remove the rubber seal from it.
Installation
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
