Ignition switch contact group — removal and installation (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124)

Removal

Location of screws securing the contact group to the ignition switch

1. Remove the ignition switch.

2. Unscrew the screws and remove the contact group from the rear of the ignition switch (see picture).

Installation

1. Install the contact group on the ignition switch so that the contact group protrusion fits into the recess of the ignition switch housing. Use screws to secure the contact group to the ignition switch.

2. Install the ignition switch.
