Removal the hood lock


1. Open the hood, then release the mounting brackets and remove the protective cover from under the hood lock.

2. Using a pencil or marker, mark the position of the hood latch on the front crossmember.

3. Remove the hood release cable housing from the mounting bracket and disconnect the cable from the hood release.

4. Unscrew the bolts and remove the hood lock (see fig. Unscrewing the hood lock mounting bolts, Removing the hood lock).

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Lubricate the lock with universal grease and install it according to the marks made before removal. Before closing the hood, pull the hood release handle and ask an assistant to check how easily and smoothly the lock latch moves.
