Removal the trunk lock

1. Open the trunk lid, then remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Carefully release the clips and remove the rear luggage compartment trim panel (see fig. Releasing the retaining clips securing the rear luggage compartment trim panel, Removing the rear luggage compartment trim panel). There is a special cover in the luggage compartment trim panel, after removing which you can only adjust the position of the luggage compartment lock.

3. On models with central locking, disconnect the trunk lock rod from the central locking actuator. To do this, move the locking sleeve to the actuator and disconnect the rod.

4. Using a marker or pencil, mark the location of the lock mounting bolts. Disconnect the trunk lock electrical connector and release the wires from the mounting brackets (see Fig. Disconnecting the electrical connector of the trunk lock).

5. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the trunk lock (see fig. Removing the trunk lock). Replace the rubber sealing ring of the trunk lock if necessary.

Installation

1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Check the operation of the trunk lock and, if available, the actuator of the central lock. If necessary, loosen the bolts securing the lock and, moving the lock, adjust its position, or move the lock rod locking sleeve and move it to the required position.
