Post-start heating (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

The post-start heating mode is designed to improve engine starting characteristics, smooth out engine operation during cold starts, and prevent the appearance of blue smoke (incompletely burned fuel) after starting the engine.

The duration of the glow plug heating stages depends on the coolant temperature.
