The front universal switching unit (NIC) (SAM) is connected to a CAN-B multiplex network. This unit receives and records sensor signals and transmits this information to the CAN-B network. These devices are the following.

Sensors.
Oil level control unit.
Sensor switches.
CAN-B network as a source of information.

The unit contains electronic switches for controlling a number of systems.

Electromagnetic relays, which are located in the unit, are also used for control.
